Terms and Conditions

1. Registration
1.1 Online registration
Clients can register by completing the online registration form. The agreement between the client and Business Yoga Nederland (BYN) includes the online registration form, the study brochure and the included study conditions. Through online registration the client agrees with its contents.

1.2. deposit
The registration is only valid after a deposit or full amount (including the deposit) is paid. The deposit is non-refundable and non-tranferable.

1.3 Introductory meeting
For more information about the training, retreat or event the student can request an introductory meeting. The conversation may take place during a personal appointment, online, or by telephone.

1.4 Welcome
The client will receive by email a confirmation and further details
• Confirmation of registration.
• Information about the location, route description and other practical information.

2. Payment
2.1 Transfer
Online Payment:
Payment is integrated in the online registration. All payments are done through our online payment system (Mollie). Clients can choose for payment with iDEAL, Bank Transfer, Credit card, or PayPal.

2.2 Payment options
On the registration form the client can choose from several payment options:
• Early payment: full payment prior to a specified date.
• Late Payment: payment of a non-refundable deposit at registration and rest payment prior to a specified date.

2.3 Billing
The client receives an invoice for the total fee, including payment specifications.

2.4 Administrative questions
For administrative questions, the student can contact the client contact person indicated or general contact.

3. Cancelation and Termination
3.1 Foreclosure
If the client terminates participation, or is temporarily unable to participate, unable to attend, or misses days, there is no refund of tuition possible.

3.2 Termination of agreement
The mutual rights and obligations arising from the registration agreement end once the agreement is terminated and the fee is paid.

4. Late payments
4.1 Late payments
If payments are over due, reserves the right to cancel the reservation and retain the deposit. BYN will send the student a reminder and the amount can be increased with an administration fee. With a late payment of one month or more BYN is entitled to terminate the clients' attendance and participation, until payments have been done in full. The obligation for the full payment remains.

4.2 collection
If a collection agency needs to be hired to recover the tuition, the money owed will be increased by 10%, with a minimum of 100 euro - collection fee.

4.3 Debtors administration
The debtors administration will be executed by the BYN accountant:

5. Information
BYN does everything in its power to avoid errors in brochures, ads and lessons. BYN cannot accept liability for any errors. The copyright of all training materials produced by BYN belongs to BYN. It is not permitted to copy or use training materials, promotional materials, website text, illustrations, photo materials, brochures, study conditions, etc. for any other purposes than use within this training without prior consent.

6. Changing training dates & teachers
BYN has the right to change the dates and the teachers. In case of insufficient registrations BYN maintains the right to cancel or postpone. Upon agreement the paid course fees can be refunded to the client. Refund does not include flight & travel expenses. clients will be informed in time.

7. Privacy Policy
The client provides personal information. KP uses this data to keep clients informed and up to date with relevant offers from BYN. The client can object in written form. Our privacy policy for protecting your personal data can be found at our website.

8. Complaints and disputes
BYN is committed to provide the best possible service and support. If a client has a complaint, an email can be sent to the customer service of BYN. The email address is: info@businessyoga.com. All complaints and disputes are registered and supervised. We intent to respond within 2 weeks and handle the complaint within 4 weeks. The complaint will always be treated confidentially.

9. Feedback and suggestions
BYN encourages the client to give feedback, share ideas and suggestions. The input of the client will be deployed to improve the quality of our service, and as much as possible aligned with the needs and wishes of the client.

10. Disclaimer
We invite the client to practicing yoga with enthusiasm. However, we recommend careful consideration to the implementation of the exercises offered. If the client doubts whether yoga is recommended for certain injuries or conditions, we suggest them to consult a doctor or therapist. The instructions and guidance provided are not intended to replace professional medical and psychological care. There are certain restrictions on the practice of yoga for pregnant and menstruating women. As a client, you're supposed to be aware of these restrictions. The client can find information about this in our study materials or can be informed by the teacher.

11. Waiver of liability
Registration implies that the clients agree to assume all responsibility for themselves, and to release all others from all and any liability, which may directly or indirectly result from the training. Organizer, teachers, trainers, coaches, and staff are not responsible for any injuries or damage to people and / or property.

BYN is allowed to process personal data for these purposes for pursuing its own legitimate interest or those of the educational institutions; with the legitimate interest being to allow Kundalini Pioneers to provide the best service it is able to, in order to align you with the educational institutions of your choice.

5.2 To communicate with you.
BYN processes contact details to communicate with you, answer your questions, or handle your complaints. This applies to both students and (potential) clients/customers/partners. For this purpose, BYN processes the following personal data: communication history, name, digital contact details, message. For (potential) clients, the following data is also processed: phone number, employer, country.

BYN is allowed to process personal data for this purpose to pursue its own legitimate interests or those of the educational institutions; with the legitimate interest being BYN to be able to communicate with you for providing the best service it can to align you with the educational institutions, scholarship providers, test providers and other service providers of your choice. Especially, the legitimate interest services is that BYN, an educational institution or other service provider concerned can respond in an effective and timely manner to any questions or complaint you might have.

5.3 For processing student applications for specific trainings.
BYN processes personal information to enable students to apply for specific universities through BYN rather than through the university website. For this processing of your personal data information, BYN will act as a mere processor processing your information on behalf of the educational institution concerned. For this purpose, BYN processes the following personal data on behalf of the educational institution: name, digital contact details, analog contact details, passport, educational transcripts, CV, various credentials (e.g. English language proficiency), demographic information, shortlisted programs, disciplines and countries of interest, funding situation, preferred start period, previous education information, work experience.

BYN is allowed to process personal data for this purpose because it is necessary for pursuing the legitimate interests of the educational institutions; with the legitimate interest being Kundalini Pioneers to be able to communicate with you for providing the best service it can to align you with the educational institutions of your choice.

5.4 Allowing you to provide reviews.
BYN processes personal information when you have left behind a review about a specific educational institution or a specific program. For this purposes BYN processes the following personal data (whether or not by means of a rating): program, educational institution, personal life and overall experience with respect to the educational institute and its location. BYN will then automatically calculate an overall rating or score, which will appear on our portals along with any extra comments you have made. Please note that any written reviews may be checked by BYN before exposing, automatically or manually, because BYN wants to make sure only high-quality reviews are being exposed.

We only remove reviews in the following situations:

In case BYN or another organisation or institution can prove a respondent did not study at the reviewed institution or program.
When the review includes abusive language, swearing, discriminatory remarks, threatening, or personal political, sexual, religious, and ethical viewpoints.
When the review promotes illegal or commercial activities.
When reviews are not the personal experience or opinion of the respondent.
If reviews are repeatedly pointed on a personally level on fellow reviewers.
If reviews are exposed in a repeatedly disturbing way.
If it includes contact details like phone numbers, addresses or links to other websites.
If reviewers pretend to be another person or organisation than itself.
If we suspect that a review is genuine; for example, might be used to target a competitor.

These legitimate interests being that student reviews have found to be extremely helpful when aligning potential students with the best fitted educational institution or program which is the core of BYN services.

5.5 For statistical.
BYN processes personal information for the development and optimisation of its services. We use automatic tools to perform statistical research into general trends. We broadly examine how our users behave towards our services, as well as the preferences our users set. Statistical research helps us develop better services and offerings, allowing us to improve the design and content of our Website. We can also advise higher education institutions on how they can better serve you.

For this purpose, BYN processes the following personal data: name, digital contact details, demographic information, shortlisted programs, disciplines and countries of interest, funding situation, preferred start period, previous education information, work experience, IP address, cookies and comparable services, browser data, device specifications, referring website, browsing behaviour and website interactions, social media likes. 7. Security and retention
BYN takes the safeguarding of your information very seriously. BYN will take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss or unlawful use. These measures include, but are not limited to: facilities protected by appropriate security measures, encryption of devices, version tracking and access to our databases is limited to key personnel and IP addresses and use of it is logged. Personally identifiable information and account activity are also protected through the use of user names and passwords. In order to help maintain the security of your information, you should protect the confidentiality of your user name and password.

Your personal data will be retained for as long as required for the purposes described in this Policy, or insofar as is necessary to comply with our contractual or statuary obligations, and to solve any disputes. In most cases, your personal data will be retained for forty-eight (48) months after your last activity, or until you request deletion. BYN retains your data for that period to optimise their services to you throughout your educational period, which statistical research has shown to usually span a period of more than thirty-six (36) months.

Doelgroep

Business yoga richt zich op professionals die een hoge werkdruk ervaren en optimaal willen presteren, zonder dat dit ten koste gaat aan de kwaliteit van hun gezondheid, welzijn, werk en privé.

Doel

Het doel van business yoga is het verminderen van werkstress en het verbeteren van de fysieke en mentale gezondheid van werknemers. Medewerkers worden gezonder en vitaler, bewegen regelmatig en letten beter op hun lifestyle. Hierdoor worden medewerkers weerbaarder en daalt het ziekteverzuim.

Aanpak

Business Yoga is gericht op beweging, ontspanning en bewustwording. De interventie bestaat uit drie onderdelen: Introductietraining – Groepstraject - Individuele begeleiding. Afhankelijk van de wensen van de opdrachtgever wordt de juiste benadering gekozen. Het kan op de werkplek worden aangeboden, waarbij de deelnemers in werkkleding, gewoon aan het bureau of in een aparte ruimte de training kunnen volgen en de oefeningen kunnen uitvoeren.

1. Probleemomschrijving

Probleem

Veel werknemers in Nederland hebben te maken met werkdruk. Langdurige mentale inspanning en werkdruk kunnen op den duur tot stress leiden. Uit cijfers van de Nationale Enquête Arbeidsomstandigheden (TNO, CBS, 2012) blijkt dat gemiddeld 13,1% van de werknemers in Nederland burnout-klachten ervaren.

Wanneer werknemers gedurende langere tijd onder druk staan, bestaat het risico op uitval door een burn-out. Naast de ingrijpende gevolgen voor de direct betrokkene, kosten mentale gezondheidsproblemen in Nederland jaarlijks 12.7 miljard Euro. Dit komt neer op 3% van het BBP (De Graaf et al. 2010).
Ziekteverzuim wordt voor een groot deel veroorzaakt door mentale, of psychosociale arbeidsbelasting. In Nederland waren de kosten hiervan in 2008 2,7 miljard Euro (De Graaf et al.)2011). Volgens het OECD onderzoek zijn medewerkers met psychische klachten ook minder productief (OECD, 2011).

In 2012 ontwikkelde TNO een model dat uitlegt hoe werkdruk kan uitmonden in werkstress (Wiezer et al., 2012). Werkdruk is hierin gedefinieerd als: een situatie waarin er een disbalans is ontstaan tussen de eisen van het werk wat betreft inhoud van het werk en de context van het werk en de mogelijkheden van de werknemer om het werk goed uit te voeren.

Er zijn verschillende determinanten van werkdruk (zie figuur 1): 1.) determinanten in de inhoud en de organisatie van het werk (zoals de hoeveelheid werk), 2.) determinanten in de context van het werk (zoals veranderingen in taak of onzekerheid over op komst zijnde organisatieveranderingen) en 3. ) regel-mogelijkheden (zoals autonomie). Daarnaast zijn er factoren die er voor zorgen dat een medewerker die werkdruk ervaart minder snel stressklachten ontwikkelt. Deze factoren noemen we buffers. Sociale steun is hier een belangrijk voorbeeld van. Tot slot zijn er individuele factoren (zoals competenties) die van invloed zijn op de perceptie van de taakeisen of op de mogelijkheden om taakeisen uit te voeren en van regelmogelijkheden gebruik te maken.

In bovengenoemd model verkleinen buffers de kans dat werkdruk leidt tot stressklachten. Zo zijn herstelmogelijkheden een belangrijke buffer: werkdruk veroorzaakt minder snel stressklachten als medewerkers kunnen herstellen van een drukke dag of een drukke periode (Wiezer et al. 2012).

Business yoga richt zich op het versterken van het individu en het herstellen in stressvolle situaties. Het grijpt dus in het werkdrukmodel in op de individuele factoren en debuffers. Het leert medewerkers beter om te gaan met taakeisen en vormt een buffer met herstelmogelijkheden om werkdruk en stressklachten te voorkomen.

2. Beschrijving Interventie

2.1 Doelgroep

Business Yoga wordt aangeboden aan zowel zelfstandigen en werknemers van MKB bedrijven (tot 250 medewerkers) als aan werknemers van grote bedrijven (meer dan 250 medewerkers). Deze organisatie zijn veelal werkzaam in Zakelijke en Financiële dienstverlening, Overheid, Onderwijs en Zorg, en andere branches waarbij werknemers veel zittend werk verrichten of werk onder hoge druk uitvoeren.

Business yoga richt zich specifiek op professionals die een hoge werkdruk ervaren en optimaal willen presteren, zonder dat dit ten koste gaat aan de kwaliteit van hun gezondheid, welzijn, werk en privé.

Intermediaire doelgroepen

De intermediaire doelgroep kan bestaan uit management/directie of HR. Dit is afhankelijk van de grote van de interventie en het soort bedrijf. Managers zijn verantwoordelijk voor het functioneren en presteren van hun team. Via hen wordt de interventie soms ingezet voor een heel team.

Selectie van doelgroepen

De interventie wordt laagdrempelig aangeboden en is voor iedereen toegankelijk. Het kan voorkomen dat besloten wordt om de interventie vooral te richten op werknemers of teams die extra onder druk staan of managers die belangrijke posities innemen en extra ondersteuning nodig hebben. Het belangrijkste criteria is dat de doelgroep vrij kan beslissen om aan de training of begeleiding deel te nemen.

2.2 Doel

Hoofddoel

Het hoofddoel van business yoga is het verminderen van de ervaren werkstress en het verbeteren van de fysieke en mentale gezondheid van werknemers.

Subdoelen

Subdoel werknemers:

Deelnemers voelen zich gezonder en vitaler na 5 tot 10 trainingen.
Deelnemers gaan van bijna niet bewegen naar regelmatig (tenminste 1 keer in de week) gezond bewegen.
Deelnemers worden zich bewust van het belang van een gezonde leefstijl: gezonde voeding, ontspanning en beweging.
Deelnemers worden meer weerbaar zodat ze beter om kunnen gaan met onzekere/veranderende situaties zowel werk als privé.

Subdoel werkgevers:

Deze interventie draagt bij aan gezondere en bewustere medewerkers. Gezonde en bewuste medewerkers verzuimen minder, staan open voor verandering en hebben een hogere productiviteit.

2.3 Aanpak

Opzet van de interventie

Business Yoga is gericht op beweging, ontspanning en bewustwording. Afhankelijk van de wensen van de opdrachtgever wordt de juiste benadering gekozen. Er wordt stilgestaan bij het doel van de interventie, wat de vraag is van de werkgever en werknemer en hoe het best kan worden aangesloten bij de doelstellingen en ontwikkelingen binnen het bedrijf of team.

De Business Yoga interventie bestaat uit drie onderdelen:

Bij groepstrajecten en Individuele trajecten is thuisbeoefening een essentieel onderdeel.

Introductietraining: 1 dagdeel / 2-4 uur

Groepstraject: 3-6 maanden / 1 uur per week

Individuele begeleiding: 3-6 maanden / 1 uur per week

De interventie kan binnen een periode van 3-6 maanden worden uitgevoerd

Locatie en uitvoerders

De interventie wordt op de werk locatie uitgevoerd. De training kan plaatsvinden op de werkplek, gewoon aan het bureau of in een aparte ruimte. Meestal wordt Business Yoga aangeboden in een vergaderruimte of conferentiezaal. De oefeningen kunnen in werkkleding, zittend in een stoel worden uitgevoerd. Men hoeft hiervoor niet lenig te zijn.

De introductietraining kan tevens worden georganiseerd en aangeboden op een externe locatie. Individuele begeleiding kan ook bij de medewerker thuis plaatsvinden.

Omdat werknemers zelfstandig leren werken met de oefeningen en richtlijnen worden zij uitgenodigd om deze zelfstandig op kantoor of thuis te blijven oefenen. Oefeningen kunnen ook prima buiten werktijden, bijvoorbeeld ‘s ochtends in voorbereiding op de dag of ‘s avonds als afsluiting van de dag worden beoefenend. De effecten van de oefeningen zijn de hele dag voelbaar en helpen na het werk om de dag los te laten en goed om te schakelen naar privé of om bijvoorbeeld beter te kunnen slapen.

De interventie wordt aangeboden en begeleidt door één of meerdere gespecialiseerde Business Yoga trainers. Trainers voldoen aan de internationale professionele - didactische en vakinhoudelijke kwaliteitscriteria als yoga docent en hebben een specialisatie in Business Yoga en Yoga Therapie.

Inhoud van de interventie

Er zijn verschillende aanleidingen om met business yoga te starten. Soms komt een vraag binnen via Human resources van een bedrijf die de verantwoordelijkheid hebben gekregen om activiteiten te organiseren ten behoeve van de gezondheid en welzijn van het personeel. Binnen deze bedrijven is meestal sprake van een hoog ziekteverzuim door stress en burn-out. Soms komt de vraag binnen via een team manager of manager van een afdeling. Vaak gaat het dan om afdelingen die te maken hebben met hoge uitval. Soms wordt er hulp gezocht voor ondersteuning van werknemers die een intensieve transitie ondergaan zoals een reorganisatie, invoering van een nieuwe werkwijze, innovatie, fusie, ontslag, invoering van ‘het nieuwe werken’, herinrichting, verhuizing, etc. Soms nemen werknemers zelf initiatief om aan business yoga deel te nemen. Ze zoeken draagvlak bij collega’s en vragen management om toestemming. Afhankelijk van de wensen van de opdrachtgever wordt de juiste benadering gekozen. Er wordt stilgestaan bij het doel van de interventie, wat de vraag is van de werkgever en werknemer en hoe het best kan worden aangesloten bij doelstellingen en ontwikkelingen binnen het bedrijf of team.

De interventie kan binnen een periode van 3-6 maanden worden uitgevoerd. De interventie start met een introductietraining van en wordt direct opgevolgd door een groepstraject. Eventueel aangevuld met individuele begeleiding.

Activiteiten

Voorbereidende werkzaamheden:

Draagvlak creëren binnen de organisatie:

Overleg met leidinggevenden, werknemers en HR. Hierbij wordt het BY concept goed toegelicht en vragen beantwoord. BY biedt brochures en BY materialen aan ter illustratie.

Werving deelnemers

In overleg met de klant wordt gekeken hoe de werving gaat plaatsvinden. BY zal hierbij zelf ook materialen aanleveren: tekst, illustraties en achtergrondinformatie.

Inschrijfprocedure

BY geeft advies maar deze wordt altijd door de klant zelf uitgevoerd. Bij meer of minder inschrijvingen dan verwacht wordt in overleg gekeken of het aanbod aangepast moet worden.

Introductietraining

Introductie:

Werknemers denken zelf na over het belang van ontspanning en gezondheid op de werkvloer. Door middel van een interactieve discussie wordt men zich bewust van wat er onderhuids leeft en ziet men in waarom een interventie uitkomst kan bieden.

Bewustwording:

Door middel van eenvoudige oefeningen experimenteren de werknemers met het bewust worden van zichzelf. Men is hierbij in staat om te voelen waar spanningen of weerstanden in het lichaam zitten en hoe men deze kan oplossen. De resultaten worden met elkaar gedeeld.

Groepssessie:

Tijdens de groepssessie doen de werknemers een uitgebreide serie oefeningen en ontspanningstechnieken en beleven de positieve effecten van de interventie.

Groepstraject

Introductie:

Tijdens de introductie wordt verteld wat het doel is van de interventie en wat de opbouw is van het traject. Verder worden de werknemers gevraagd om aan te geven waarom men ervoor heeft gekozen om aan het traject deel te nemen. De thema’s worden helder en de doelen en wensen van de werknemer komen hierdoor centraal te staan.

Basistechnieken:

Het traject start met het aanleren van de basistechnieken en het begrijpen hoe Business Yoga werkt. Hierbij wordt gewerkt met: ademhalingstechnieken, bewustwordingsoefeningen en de lichaamshouding.

Beweging en Ontspanning:

Vervolgens wordt er dieper ingegaan op het thema ontspanning en uitgelegd dat ontspanning vooral een consequentie is van gezonde en bewuste inspanning. De werknemers leren om effectief te ontspannen en ontvangen een reeks concrete technieken en richtlijnen die afgestemd zijn op hun thema’s en doelen.

Voeding en Leefstijl:

In aanvulling op de oefeningen ontvangt men verschillende tips en richtlijnen op het gebied van voeding en leefstijl. Zo leert men onder andere wat de positieve uitwerking is van het dagelijks nemen van een koude douche. Men krijgt ondersteuning bij het integreren een gezonde en bewuste leefwijze in het dagelijks leven.

Individuele begeleiding

Persoonlijke benadering:

Individuele begeleiding is een persoonlijke benadering waarbij resultaatgericht wordt gewerkt aan specifieke wensen of thema's. In deze 1 op 1 situatie is de trainer in staat om zijn kennis en aandacht volledig af te stemmen op de doelen van de werknemer. Tijdens dit traject leert de werknemer Business Yoga te integreren in het dagelijks leven. Daarnaast wordt er gekeken naar voeding en eetpatronen. De werknemer ontvangt richtlijnen en tips voor het maken van positieve aanpassingen in de levensstijl. Na afloop van de training heeft de werknemer inzicht in - en ervaring met – wat Business Yoga voor je kan betekenen. De werknemer is in staat om zelfstandig te werken met deze bijzondere gezondheidsmethodiek en heeft deze in het dagelijkse leven leren integreren.

Thuisbeoefening

Deelnemers ontvangen tijdens iedere bijeenkomst oefeningen, richtlijnen en tips om hiermee thuis te oefenen. Ook wordt de thuiservaring steeds bij aanvang van iedere bijeenkomst besproken en geëvalueerd.

Kundalini Yoga

Er bestaan veel verschillende yoga vormen en stromingen die bestaan uit verschillende onderdelen (zoals ademhaling, bewegen en houdingen). (Sherman, 2012)

Business Yoga maakt gebruik van Kundalini Yoga zoals onderwezen door Yogi Bhajan Ph.D. Deze vorm kan omschreven worden als een oorspronkelijk vorm van yoga die alle aspecten van yoga verenigd. Kundalini Yoga wordt daarom ook wel de Moeder van Yoga genoemd. Het is de meest volledige vorm van yoga en biedt naast duizenden yoga oefeningen, technieken, yoga sets en meditaties een volledige overzicht aan yogische richtlijnen en tips over het integreren van een yogische leefwijze in het dagelijkse bestaan. Kundalini Yoga is afkomstig uit een oude geheimhoudingstraditie waardoor deze vorm nooit opgesplitst is geraakt in bijvoorbeeld alleen aandacht voor de houding en de ademhaling.

Kundalini Yoga wordt ook wel de yoga van het bewustzijn genoemd. Kenmerkend zijn de dynamische oefeningen, de aandacht voor de adem en het gebruik van mantra's (klank). Door het gelijktijdig toepassen van deze verschillende yoga technieken worden resultaten erg snel en op verantwoorde wijze bereikt. Naast vele yogasets, kriya’s en meditaties biedt deze oude wetenschap een compleet overzicht van yogische richtlijnen, recepten en tips voor het onderhouden van een gezonde en bewuste levensstijl. De oefeningen hebben een sterk reinigende werking waardoor gifstoffen maar ook pijn, angst, stress en frustraties worden opgelost. Kundalini Yoga helpt mensen bewust te worden van hun fysieke, mentale en emotionele gesteldheid en deze positief te beïnvloeden. Kundalini Yoga is mede door haar veelzijdigheid geschikt voor iedereen. Kundalini Yoga is verder als discipline uitermate geschikt om in te passen in het dagelijks leven en wordt daarom naast de yoga van het bewustzijn ook wel de yoga van de huishouder genoemd(Fienes 2010, Khalsa, 1996, Singh Khalsa, 2002, Singh Khalsa, YB & Sing Khalsa G., 1998, Singh, 2012).

2.4 Ontwikkelgeschiedenis

Betrokkenheid doelgroep

Business Yoga wordt sinds 1995 succesvol aangeboden bij meer dan 300 bedrijven in binnen en buitenland. Sinds 2004 biedt BYN interventies aan in Nederland. In opdracht van en in samenwerking met het bedrijfsleven heeft BYN interventies ontwikkeld en verbeterd om optimaal aan te sluiten bij de behoefte en doelstelling van de klant.

Voorbeelden van ontwikkelingsprocessen in samenwerking met bedrijven:

Interventie aanbod in samenwerking met ING Postbank. Ondersteuning van management en teams bij het behalen van gewenste resultaten en targets, terugdringen ziekteverzuim, toename werknemerstevredenheid en ontslagen door fusie. De samenwerking bestaat uit gesprekken, bepalen interventie strategie, evaluatie en rapportage, presentatie resultaten. Periode: 2 jaar
“Yoga Skill Training” ontwikkeld in samenwerking met KLM. Interventie aangeboden door afdeling Training & Development voor het vliegpersoneel van KLM. De samenwerking bestaat de uit de ontwikkeling en uitwerking van het Yoga Skill Training concept, ontwikkeling van een train de trainer concept, opstellen samenwerkingsverband en contract, ontwikkeling Yoga Skill Manual, opzet evaluatieprocedure en uitvoering evaluatie en rapportage (korte en lange termijn), beoordelingsgesprekken, voortgangsgesprekken en interventieverbetering. Periode: 4 jaar
“Fitbreaks” interventie ontwikkeld in samenwerking met NISB. De samenwerking bestaat uit: ontwikkeling Fitbreaks concept, ontwikkeling Fitbreaks Manual en PR. Deze interventie is in samenwerking met maar onafhankelijk van NISB aangeboden bij verschillende bedrijven o.a: NTR, VARA en LinkedIn.

2.5 Vergelijkbare interventies

Worden in Nederland vergelijkbare interventies uitgevoerd, zo ver bekend? Welke?

Zijn deze opgenomen in één van de databanken met (potentieel) effectieve interventies ?

Er worden in Nederland geen vergelijkbare interventies uitgevoerd waarbij yoga expliciet wordt aangeboden op het werk. Zie verdere toelichting hieronder.

Overeenkomsten en verschillen

Veel yoga centra bieden tegenwoordig naast hun vast aanbod ook bedrijfsyoga aan, althans als aanvulling op het vaste aanbod op de website. Echter zijn er vrijwel geen voorbeelden van te vinden van partijen die daadwerkelijk bedrijfsyoga aanbieden. Wat wel voorkomt zijn yogaleraren die reguliere lessen aanbieden voor collega’s in het bedrijf waar ze zelf werkzaam zijn. Reguliere (bedrijfs) yoga wordt aangeboden in een sportzaal of speciale ruimte die voorzien is van benodigde yoga materialen zoals yogamatten en kussens. Reguliere yoga wordt uitgevoerd in speciale yoga kleding of vrije tijdskleding.

BYN biedt professionele trainingsprogramma’s op maat aan. De training wordt aangeboden op de werkplek, in een vergader of conferentie zaal. De oefeningen kunnen in werkkleding worden uitgevoerd en men hoeft niet bijzonder lenig te zijn.

2. Samenhang (Facultatief)

Veel mensen in Nederland ervaren werkdruk. Langdurige blootstelling aan werkdruk en mentale inspanning kan tot stressklachten leiden en in het ergste geval tot overspannenheid, depressie en burnout.

Business yoga is gericht op het herstellen in stressvolle situaties zodat mensen weer in een ontspannen toestand kunnen komen. Business yoga biedt een methodiek die op de werkplek uitgevoerd kan worden. Door de veelzijdige oefeningen aangevuld met tips en richtlijnen voor een gezonde leefstijl kunnen alle lichaamssystemen en de gehele mens worden aangepakt. Daarnaast ontvangen deelnemers thuiswerk zodat ook buiten werktijd resultaten bereikt kunnen worden.

Stressklachten kunnen op deze manier verminderen. Business yoga is daarmee een interventie die kan voorkomen dat werkdruk en mentale inspanning uitmonden in stressklachten, of op den duur tot overspannenheid, depressie en burnout.

Type organisatie

Onderdelen van het programma kunnen in een train-de-trainer programma overgedragen worden. Voor de complete integrale aanpak van business yoga is een intensieve training vereist. BYN trainers hebben minimaal 5 jaar ervaring en genieten naast de internationale certificatie een specialisatie in Business Yoga en Yoga Coaching.

Opleiding en competenties

De interventie wordt aangeboden en begeleidt door één of meerdere gespecialiseerde Business Yoga trainers. Trainers voldoen aan de internationale professionele - didactische en vakinhoudelijke kwaliteitscriteria als yoga docent en hebben een specialisatie in Business Yoga en Yoga Coaching.

BYN Trainers zijn aangesloten bij KYN Kundalini Yoga Nederland en/of IKYTA – International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. IKYTA is de internationale vereniging van Kundalini Yoga docenten. Internationale certificering wordt uitgevoerd door KRI - Kundalini Research Institute. KRI is een non-profit organisatie opgericht in 1972 met als doel de kwaliteit en integriteit van het Kundalini Yoga onderwijs te waarborgen. Deze is verantwoordelijk voor het opleiden, evalueren en certificeren van Kundalini Yoga docenten.

Kwaliteitsbewaking

Hoe wordt de kwaliteit van de interventie bewaakt?

BYN houdt voortdurend toezicht op de competenties van de trainers, de door hen verrichte werkzaamheden en de voortgang van de doelgroep. Dit gebeurt door supervisie, intervisie, klantevaluatie en rapportage. De inhoudelijke kwaliteit van de sessies wordt bewaakt door monitoring van de trainers.

In sommige gevallen kiest de klant / het bedrijf er zelf voor om de resultaten te evalueren door middel van enquêtes of bijvoorbeeld door middel van werktevredenheidsonderzoek, ziekteverzuim registratie of rendement analyse. Indien gewenst ondersteunt BYN bij het opstellen van benodigde evaluatie formulieren.

Randvoorwaarden

Wat zijn de organisatorische en contextuele randvoorwaarden voor een goede uitvoering van de interventie?

Om de business yoga interventie goed uit te kunnen voeren is goed overleg met manager of directie noodzakelijk. Daarin wordt het aanbod doorgesproken en bepaald waarvan gebruik wordt gemaakt.

Om de interventie goed uit te kunnen uitvoeren is een geschikte ruimte nodig en aanwezigheid van de benodigde voorzieningen. Het gaat hierbij meestal een vergaderzaal, conferentie ruimte en auditorium voorzien van stoelen en een muziekinstallatie met iPod aansluiting of headset. Vervolgens moet de inschrijving van de deelnemers worden geregeld en wordt er een uitnodiging verzonden aan de deelnemers.

Overdraagbaarheid en/of implementatie

BYN heeft de intentie om een Internationale Business Yoga Opleiding te organiseren waardoor de interventie kan worden overgedragen. Ook is het mogelijk dat werknemers intern worden opgeleid tot Business Yoga trainer.

4. Evalutatie van praktijkervaring

Onderzoek en resultaten

Is er een evaluatie geweest van de praktijkervaringen met de interventie bij de uitvoerders en de doelgroepen en wat zijn daarvan de meest relevante uitkomsten? Beschrijf het bereik, de succes- en verbeterpunten en geef indien van toepassing aan of er na de evaluatie punten in de interventie zijn aangepast. Beschrijf hoe de evaluatie is opgezet en neem hier de respons en de respondenten in mee.

Business yoga evalueert de uitkomst van de interventie regelmatig. Hiertoe worden verschillende evaluatie formulieren ingezet (voor trainer en deelnemer) Ook wordt er na individuele begeleiding een rapportage formulier uitgereikt ,

De volgende zaken worden er in de evaluatie bevraagd:

zijn alle materialen aanwezig
is de interventie goed verlopen
zelfreflectie trainer
verbeterpunten
opvallende zaken die van invloed kunnen zijn op de uitvoering van de interventie
voldeed de interventie aan de verwachting van de deelnemer
vond de deelnemer de ruimte geschikt
waardering in de vorm van een cijfer 1 - 10
positieve en negatieve feedback op de interventie
wat vind de deelnemer van de trainer (voorbereiding / professioneel / vaardigheden)

Het bereik:

Over het algemeen is de opkomst groter dan verwacht. Het komt regelmatig voor dat extra trajecten worden aangevraagd om alle ingeschreven deelnemers de training aan te kunnen bieden. Bij veel inschrijvingen wordt de groep dan als het ware in twee groepen opgedeeld. Ook worden trainingen vaak op verschillende dagen in de week gepland om het voor iedereen mogelijk te maken om deel te nemen. Wanneer de planning niet toelaat om met meerdere groepen op verschillende tijdstippen of dagen te werken dat wordt er meestal gewerkt met een wachtlijst. Deelnemers worden dan ingepland voor een traject wat in een latere periode zal plaatsvinden. Er is nog nooit een opdracht afgezegd omdat er niet voldoende deelnemers hebben ingeschreven.

Succesfactoren:

Laagdrempelig en toegankelijk aanbod
Ervaringsgerichte benadering. Werknemers ervaren de positieve effecten van Business Yoga aan de levende lijve. Dat werkt bevestigend en overtuigend. Veel werknemers die aan de interventie hebben deelgenomen gaan na afloop zelfstandig op zoek naar gezondheidsactiviteiten in de privé omgeving.
Afstemming met bedrijfsdoelen. Tijdens de interventie wordt rekening gehouden met de bedrijfscultuur en de ontwikkelingen die het bedrijf ondergaat.

Verbeterpunten:

Planning sessies en afstemming met rooster werknemers. Door beter te kijken naar de werkroosters van de werknemers en door navraag te doen wat de werknemers zelf een prettig tijdstip vinden wordt voorkomen dat deelnemers bijeenkomsten moeten missen of niet kunnen deelnemen.
Follow up en aanbod vervolgtraining. Het is belangrijk om tussentijds te evalueren en met de opdrachtgever en deelnemers te bespreken of een vervolgtraining gewenst is.
Samenwerking collega’s andere trainingen. Voor de samenhorigheid en in het kader van prettig samenwerken is het belangrijk om ook goed contact te onderhouden met andere collega trainers. Hiervan is vooral sprake wanneer de interventie onderdeel is van een groter aanbod waarbij tegelijkertijd ook andere interventies worden aangeboden.

Omdat ik begin 2009 aan een nieuwe leidinggevende positie begon als Directeur van een Kunstopleiding leek het met goed om yoga te gaan beoefenen. Op zoek naar een eigen vorm van leiderschap, authenticiteit en creativiteit kwam ik bij Business Yoga Nederland uit. Al na een paar intensieve sessies bleek dat deze benadering een enorm effect had. Ik kon direct een nieuwe openheid en rust in mezelf ervaren die heel natuurlijk aanvoelt.  Eigenlijk kunnen woorden dit niet goed beschrijven, je moet het ervaren. Het meest geweldige vind ik de eenvoud. Je zit, je ademt, doet een aantal oefeningen, mediteert, en ervaart het effect. Soms direct, soms later. Ik kan me nu in drie minuten opladen voor ingewikkelde gesprekken of kan ‘s avonds in een halfuur de dag uit mijn systeem (vooral mijn hoofd) krijgen. Hierdoor kan ik echt ontspannen. En ik krijg er ook veel energie door. De persoonlijke begeleiding heeft er bij mij voor gezorgd dat dit in een korte tijd bij mij en mijn dagelijkse patroon is gaan horen.  Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat zorgen voor je lichaam (innerlijk en uiterlijk) een betere balans veroorzaakt. Praktijkervaring:

ING Postbank

In de perioden voor en tijdens de fusie tussen de Postbank en ING heeft BYN verschillende teams en managers ondersteund in deze uitdagende overgangsperiode. De teams waren er slecht aan toe en ondanks de grote inspanning en hoge druk werden target bij lange na niet gehaald. De interventie bestond uit een introductietraining gevolgd door een groepstraject en individuele begeleiding. De Business Yoga interventie heeft er voor gezorgd dat de teams en het management beter ging functioneren en dat managers inzicht kregen in het belang van de menselijk aansturing.

De bevindingen (letterlijke citaten van deelnemers en betrokkenen):

Het ziekteverzuim onder de werknemers is gedaald.
De werknemers voelen zich verbonden met het bedrijf.
Het yoga-gevoel begint over te slaan, ook op de mensen die niet deelgenomen hebben aan de interventie.
Werknemers spreken staan open staan voor elkaar, spreken elkaar aan en spiegelen elkaar.
Men kijkt elkaar recht aan en is bereid om van elkaar te leren.

Gemeenschappelijk verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel, de gemeenschappelijke prestaties staan centraal.
Geen onderlinge concurrentie.
Werknemer durven meer hun ware ik te tonen.
Men laat zich meebewegen met de verandering, i.p.v. hakken in de grond, geen geluid van weerstand, niet alleen alles maar doen maar ook actief participeren en meedenken in het oplossen van..
Het leeft echt, de yoga, het is een gezamenlijk iets.
